Product Summary

The ARC772-A is a single chip for SATA 3G-to-IDE Bridge. Its main function is to bridge between a legacy IDE storage device and a Serial ATA host, or between a Serial ATA storage device and a traditional IDE host (a south bridge chip or an IDE controller). By high speed serializing or de-serializing signal, the ARC772-A can reach high-speed bi-directional data transfer between SATA and IDE interfaces. The ARC772-A is compatible with most of south bridges, and IDE/SATA controllers in the host end, or HDD and ATAPI devices in the device end. The enhancement of performance, compatibility, and stability makes the ARC772-A become an ideal cost-effective SATA II-to-IDE bridge solution.
