Product Summary
The Z8603 is a prototyping device with 2K EPROM interface. It introduces a new level of sophistication to single-chip architecture. Compared to earlier single-chip microcomputers, the Z8603 offers faster execution; more efficient use of memory, more sophisticated interrupt, input/output and bit-manipulation capabilities, and easier sysytem expansion.

Z8603 features: (1)Complete microcomputer, 2K or 4K bytes of ROM, 128 bytes of RAM, 32 I/O lines, and up to 62K or 60K bytes addressable external space each for program and data memory; (2)144-byte register file, including 124 general purpose registers, four I/O port registers, and 16 status and control registers; (3)Average instruction execution time of 1.5 μs, maximum of 1μs; (4)Vetored, priority interrupts for I/O, counter/timers, and UART; (5)Single +5V power supply-all pins TTL compatible; (6)12.5MHz.
